Some objects change meaning over time. A box of pieces can be a childhood game, a creative tool years later and a way to switch off when everyday life becomes too rigid.
Create without one right answer
Building lets you test an idea, make mistakes, take it apart and start again. There is no single correct solution, and that is a large part of its value.
For a child it can be play. For an adult it can be design, collecting, engineering, decoration or simply a way to focus on something tangible for a while.
The same piece, a different perspective
One of Rogueleker's ideas is that pieces do not have to remain tied forever to the set they originally belonged to. When they are mixed, change hands or return to a common box, they regain the possibility of becoming something different.
That is why we are interested in open-ended building: less about reproducing one fixed result and more about what each person wants to make with the pieces in front of them.
